Mid-State Technical College will host its spring graduation on Saturday, May 17. The outdoor ceremony is designed to celebrate all graduating students, their families and invited guests. As a result of Prevail Bank’s Community Shred Day event in Wisconsin Rapids, $2,227 was raised for United Way of South Wood & Adams Counties, supporting families and individuals in need throughout the area. Both Prevail Bank and Bank-A-Count pledged to donate $1 for every pound of paper shredded, up to a $1,000 each --- and the community rose to the challenge, bringing in a whopping 1,715 pounds of documents to be safely destroyed and recycled. Mid-State Technical College is offering a new Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration (HVAC-R) Technician associate in applied science program.
