Prevail Bank recently distributed 20 charitable contribution checks totaling $47,000 to support community programs across central Wisconsin. Ruby’s Pantry was one; it received $500 to purchase turkeys for this past Thanksgiving. They served approximately 400 people.

Other nonprofits that received funding include: Wausau’s Free Clinic, Central Wisconsin Habitat for Humanity (Stevens Point), the City of Owen to refurbish and improve a three-mile bike path, Wisconsin Women’s Business Initiative Corp. (WWBIC) to assist low-to-moderate income entrepreneurs in Clark, Price, Taylor, Marathon, Portage, Sauk, and Wood Counties, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5729 (Medford), the School District of Baraboo in support of its literacy initiative, Blessings in a Backpack (Wausau), Hope Hospice & Palliative Care (Medford), Altrusa International of Marshfield, Eau Claire Sober Living, Junior Achievement Northwest chapter (Eau Claire), Operation Horses Heal (Westboro), Rescued & Redeemed (Eau Claire) to assist sex-trafficked survivors, Bannach Elementary School (Stevens Point), Blake Matthew Mindful Memorial Foundation (Reedsburg) in support of mental health service vouchers, Central Wisconsin Catch-A-Ride (Marshfield), Pathway Home of South Central Wisconsin (Baraboo) for motel vouchers supporting homeless individuals, Stepping Stones (Medford), Sleep in Heavenly Peace (Portage) to help build and deliver beds for children, and Ruby’s Pantry in Wisconsin Rapids.

Prevail Bank’s Charitable Contributions program is reserved for local nonprofits within Prevail Bank’s service area. Initiatives that assist low-to-moderate income individuals, provide financial management education, stimulate local economies, and/or enhance the standard of living for many, are preferred.
