Mid-State Technical College announces spring mid-term start options beginning March 2

It’s not too late to start at Mid-State Technical College, and students don’t have to do it alone. Mid-State is offering a wide range of spring mid-term start classes beginning March 2 through May 14, providing a flexible entry point for students ready to move forward with their education this spring.
 
Courses are available in online, hybrid and in-person formats, making it easier for working adults, career changers and recent graduates to fit college into their lives. In addition to flexible scheduling, students enrolling in mid-term start classes have access to dedicated student support personnel to help them make informed decisions and set a clear path for success.
 
Mid-State student support staff are available to:
  • Discuss program and career options
  • Review course transferability for students planning to continue their education
  • Provide financial planning guidance, including tuition, financial aid and payment options
“Mid-term start gives students momentum, and our support team helps them turn that momentum into a plan,” said Sarah Bangart, financial wellness coordinator at Mid-State Technical College. “From choosing the right program to understanding how courses transfer and how to pay for school, we’re here to help students feel confident every step of the way.”
 
With spring mid-term start, students can begin coursework in a variety of high-demand and foundational areas, including:
  • Business and Accounting: Accounting 1 and 2, Payroll Accounting, Business Taxation, Cost and Managerial Accounting, Excel for Accounting, Marketing Principles, Project Management, Human Resource Management
  • Manufacturing, Trades and Technical: Robotic Welding, Advanced and Intermediate GTAW (TIG), Machine Shop Foundations, Advanced CNC Milling Operations, Electrical Systems, HVAC Air Conditioning Fundamentals, Intro to HVAC Installation
  • Public Safety and Human Services: Community Policing, Criminology, Probation and Parole, Wellness in Public Safety, Child Advocacy
  • Health and Wellness: Medical Terminology, Phlebotomy Clinical, Applied Dental Radiography, Group Fitness Instruction, Mental Wellness for Emergency Services
  • General Education and College Success: English Composition I, College Mathematics, Speech, Introduction to Psychology, Introduction to Sociology, Introduction to American Government, GPS for Student Success
